The shortlist is the final step where amongst all the films submitted for the Oscars for the category, 15 films advance to the voting stage. This inches Homebound closer to a possible nomination nod when the nominations are announced on January 22, 2026.          Sharing his heartfelt reaction, Vishal Jethwa said, "This moment feels surreal and incredibly humbling. To see Homebound being shortlisted and progressing towards the Oscars is something I could have only dreamed of. I am deeply grateful for the love and support the film has received from audiences around the world. I want to sincerely thank Karan Johar sir for believing in this story and in us as artistes. His vision and backing gave Homebound the wings it needed."Vishal also spoke about director Neeraj Ghaywan. 二 | 《新明日报》报导，47岁的被告杨瑞辉来自中国，目前已是新加坡永久居民，他面对3项抵触关税法令（Customs Act）的控状。

三 | 案情显示，去年5月，被告觉得新加坡的酒太贵，于是开始在家酿酒。他先从中国购买蒸馏容器和冷却环（cooling coil）等酿酒工具，再购买好几公斤的糯米。被告将糯米发酵一个月至一个半月，确认颜色和味道都符合条件后，就开始酿酒。

四 | 每一批发酵的糯米可酿制17瓶至18瓶1.5升的米酒。被告不仅把这些米酒拿来自用，也卖给朋友，每瓶售价10新元，以抵消制作成本。

五 | 另外，被告女友也会将米酒卖给朋友。关税局人员接获情报后，于今年1月8日突击被告住家，并在单位内找到酿酒工具。在没有执照的情况下，被告酿制了32瓶一共46.695升的酒，漏缴2185新元的关税和国产税（customs and excise duty）以及264新元的消费税。（人名译音）。
